I once said…

You were the oasis on a deserted land
You were a drop of water amongst the sand
You were my life and the air I would breathe
You were my desire, my only need
You were the fruit of all the efforts I made
In scorching heat you were my shade
A loving partner for the lonely heart
A new meaning, a reason for life to start……

But now…

I see my dreams crushed, my hopes gone
The smile vanish and my life, at me, frown
but I aint giving up – I will wait
No matter how many years, no matter how late
I will await that girl to light my face
I await you to bestow me with your love and grace

I shall ask the stars to keep an eye
The sun to soak your every cry
The moon to tell me how you are
And I’ll sense you through them, though you will be far
My love will forever, be alive – I am true
Coz the one thing I've not lied of is what I feel for you
True blessings from the heart to you are sent
Happiness and success is what the blessings are meant
False hopes in me will develop by the day
And I will await you, girl, come what may.
